We are delighted to bring this insightful play to local and regional schools.  This new play uses physical theatre, comedy and music to follow the story of Dermot and Dolores as they are thrown together in a new family when their parents remarry.

Bob, the Man on the Moon

based on the book 'Man on the Moon' by Simon Bartram

Bob has a very special job- he looks after the moon.  He knows almost everything there is to know about it.  But there's one thing he's blissfully unaware of: ALIENS!

We have teamed up with Travelling Light Theatre Company to create a funny and delightful new show for young children aged 3+ and their families, inspired by the hugely popular, award-winning book by Simon Bartram.   Travelling Light also specialise in creating theatre for young audiences.  Touring to arts venues and schools April- July 2010.

Reviews:

'In this beguiling, must-see show for very young children, with producers Travelling Light and Sixth Sense at mission control, Simon Bartram's best-selling picture book veritably zooms off the page and touches down lightly on to the stage - a perfect landing that is largely due to a stellar alignment in the creative team. Designer Hayley Grindle conjures a sense of simple wonderment with her set full of containers: galvanised dustbins stuffed with space gear and concealed aliens, along with a tiny version of Bob's house complete with sliding drawers. And then there's Frank Wurzinger. Frank plays Bob with a trace of German accent and more than a touch of OCD – Bob, who keeps the moon vacuumed (and TIDY!) like a space-age ‘Little Prince', and who likes to have things lined up – loads of recognition points here for slightly obsessive tots and their long-suffering parents. Frank is a clown with great presence and timing who can whip his young audience into a frenzy and then have them mouse-still again in seconds, without a whiff of condescension. If you missed ‘Bob' in Bath , you can catch him on his return orbit at The Brewery in Bristol from 2-6 June: book soon, because tickets will go like space cakes'. (Rina Vergano ****, Venue Magazine)

'Great fun for the very young'.  (Jeremy Brien, The Stage)
